Thank you so much for a wonderful day last week, the three of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and learnt loads of new stuff. I had no idea that different tones could make such an impact to how I look and the advice you gave my daughter on picking the right hair colour for her skin tone was so helpful.

I’m still smarting from the fact that ‘black’ is not in my colour wheel, but it is strangely liberating to know exactly what should be in my wardrobe to make me look good with less effort. I will have nothing at all to wear for the next few months but I’m very excited about gradually replacing my drab clothing! I will be avidly clutching my swatches on my next shopping spree.

"Allie - a wonderful, resourceful, creative and polite consultant, a joy to work with. I contacted her in the hope that she'd help me create some minimalist, feminine and modest outfits that would fit within a small budget. It might sound easy but I can assure you it was not and she managed to pull it all off - even from a distance.

I already had my style and colours done 7 years ago, so that wasn't needed for me but an update with my new style preferences that included skirts and dresses only. I had no idea how to do that but she did it and I am so grateful.

She has also given me some good tips for my unmanageable afro hair - that alone was worth all the money.

The outfits she came up with were within my comfort zone, beautiful, budget-friendly and so 'me'. I really don't know how she managed to do all of that just by exchanging e-mails and some pictures with me.

Her emails were so beautifully organised, clear and easy to read. Allie also took time to explain things that I didn't understand or wasn't sure about so I've learned a lot and now my confidence in how to dress better is growing by the minute. I also have learned about a new style I like, so refreshing. The cherry on the cake was when my husband insisted that I tell Allie how much he enjoyed the outfits she picked for me."

"I didn't know exactly what to expect from my colour session in advance, but I desperately wanted some advice about how to update my look. I was hoping it would help to give me a confidence boost, and some alternative ideas to get me out of some of the colour, style and make-up habits which I have developed over the years - all of which were fine in my twenties and thirties, but which needed an update as I embark on my forties; particularly with a new job pending in a couple of months - for which I want to look, and feel my best.

I was introduced to Allie by a good friend, who I recently complimented on looking particularly great -  who told me she had had some colour and style advice from Allie -  and had basically followed the colour palette and coordinates Allie had worked out for her. I was impressed. My friend is an attractive lady with a lovely sunny personality, but she honestly looked radiant -  it was amazing. Naturally I was really keen to try it our for myself, so I made contact and arranged an appointment.

Allie is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and put me at ease straight away. Not only is she super relaxed and fun,  she really knows her stuff, pays attention to who you are and what you're looking for from the consultation, as well as being clearly knowledgeable about how and why colours have the impact they do. She made me feel like her sole focus was helping me to get what I wanted from the consultation,  and took time to explain in an easy-to follow but intelligent way which colours are best for me,  based on my skin tone, hair colour, and how my optimal palette should ideally be combined.

We talked about colours, and spent a good couple of hours in the privacy of her consultation room sitting in front of a mirror with no make up on in braod daylight really looking at my skintone and trying different colours shades and tones against my skin. I confess I was a little unsure when we started whether I would learn anything brand new - and sitting in front of a mirror really looking with no make up on in broad daylight would not ordinarily feature on my top ten of enjoyable mornings -  but by doing this Allie expertly proved to me how very different some of the colours which naturally suit me are -  from the kinds of colours I might ordinarily pick.

When Allie did put me out of my make-up free misery, she again used a range of colours, and gave me a subtle, updated makeover, which is a world away from my usual make up routine -  and which I wasn't initially sure about. However, when I came home I got an overwhelming thumbs up from my daughter (usually a harsh critic in the way only 7 year olds can be) as well as from my boyfriend who told me it made me look a lot younger. So all in all I have had a really positive experience.

I feel fired up with new confidence and some new ideas which I will definitely be taking on board, as well as some ideas which I will blend in over time, and I will definitely be seeing Allie again to get some update advice and to talk more with her about bodyshape styling when I get ready for my next big shopping trip."
